Wage board may recommend IR.?

New wage board is considering recommending interim relief in the month of January. IJU, NUJ and other unions represented the wage board to recommend IR at he rate of 60 percent of the Basic pay. However, INS and other management associations are opposing tooth and nail, to stop the recommendation. The board may not succumb to the pressures and seems to be preparing its recommendations. Unions are hoping that wage board may recommend 40 to 50 percent IR. Though many newspapers are not implementing wage board salaries in their organizations, definitely it will pressurize the management's to pay the respectable salaries. Journalism is 24 hours job, as a journalist is supposed to do the 6 to 8 hours job a day and think over next day's job for the rest of the day. They must be paid a good salary than a software engineer. In view of the wage board recommendations, Eenaadu seems to be taking preemptory steps. Newspaper organizations will be compelled to pay many more sops to Journos in the future. Hyderabad journos will get A1 City HRA in next wage board. Therefore, New Year will be happy year for journos.

Target 12 lakhs circulation-Big joke?

Sakshi directors are boasting that they are planning to be no.1 in Telugu media, from Day one itself. But he fact is that their machines striking capacity is only 6 lakhs. They have single machines at almost all edition centers. And also there is no such space in the readers market as it is. The state which has highest literacy rate has only 25 lakhs circulation. Hence, Sakshi's claims are not corresponds to the ground reality. If Sakshi is to be no.1, Eenaadu or Aj should die. Is it possible in the given circumstances?
