Sakshi top brass allotting newspaper circulation quotas' to MLA's, Contractors, and industrialists. Sakshi's aim is to overtake Eenaadu by any means. Their circulation drive proved failed miserably. It has learnt that subscriptions not crossed even three lakhs. Now they are giving targets to MLA's and other beneficiaries of RAJA of the corrupt Kingdom. Some MLA's are paying lumpsum amounts for 1000 copies or 2000 copies. The Mine grabber Gali Janardhan Reddy, the top beneficiary of Raja, subscribed for 2000 copies in Ananthapur unit. Find out Eenaadu circulation. Do the circulation drive. If not reached to the target give the rest of the copies to MLA's or Contractors or Industrialists or even Real brokers in some areas. Like this way, is it going to become another Telugu Samacharam of NTR after some time?

Sathish Chander may replace Ashok?

Vaartha CMD Girish Sanghi has begun revival process. He wants to shunt out some heads and trying to give new look to his team. The first casualty may be Editor Tankashala Ashok. Sanghi is highly restive about Ashok's presence. It is learnt that Sanghi is in touch with ex-Editor and columnist Sathish Chander. Vaartha needs an interactive Editor, who involves himself in day to day functioning of the newspaper. However, the real problem is Sanghi himself. He is the root cause of Vaartha's down fall. He involves where he should not; he will keep silent where he should involve. His attitude towards journalists is highly inhuman and eccentric. No journalist with worth salt will like to work with him. The people, who have no takers, are compelled to join with him. Can Sathish Chander make the difference?

T-channel recruitment in April

T- channel is decided to recruit editorial and production people in the month of April. They need more than 100 journalists and another 50 production people. Presently, they are planning to setup advisory committees, with intellectuals, academicians, senior journalists and senior citizens, across the state. It is learnt that these committees are supposed to play the think tank role. They will also monitor the functioning of the channel network at lower level. The idea is good. However, can it work in practice, we have to wait and see. K.Ramachandra Murthy is said to be thinking that he wants give his media a different image, true to his tag line, truth, nothing but truth. No sweeping statements. No vulgarization. No blackmailing. No intrusion in to privacy of lives. Just fair play. As an editor, he is able to garner much name to his credit. Can he do the same in TV media? Can he beat the leader TV9? One more thing, he is the first man to burn his fingers in TV media. He designed and executed some TV programs, much before this media boom. Can his image and experience match to the needs of current media?

Ramoji considering open door policy?

Eenaadu giant Ramoji is now considering taking people from other organizations. So far, he maintained his media organs with his own school-trained work force. He never allowed other media people to join his organs. He thought that Eenaadu must have its own style and standard. However, days are gone. It killed creative gene of journos. They have developed the people with a stereotype methodology year after year. The other problem is people are leaving the organization for various reasons. Until recent times, Eenaadu people feared to leave organization, as they do not have salary support from other organizations. AJ and Saakshi changed the scenario. They offered big salaries for people from Eenaadu. In last three months 50, people have left Eenaadu. If all the news channels begin recruitment, they may not able to work force crisis. AJ is able to take the people from any newspaper. That is why they did not face any crisis. They are bold enough to choose people. In the given situation Eenaadu top brass is considering to open the door for journos working for other papers. If Eenaadu takes that stand AJ and Sakshi will face the music. We are going to see many such developments in coming days.

Wage board may recommend IR.?

New wage board is considering recommending interim relief in the month of January. IJU, NUJ and other unions represented the wage board to recommend IR at he rate of 60 percent of the Basic pay. However, INS and other management associations are opposing tooth and nail, to stop the recommendation. The board may not succumb to the pressures and seems to be preparing its recommendations. Unions are hoping that wage board may recommend 40 to 50 percent IR. Though many newspapers are not implementing wage board salaries in their organizations, definitely it will pressurize the management's to pay the respectable salaries. Journalism is 24 hours job, as a journalist is supposed to do the 6 to 8 hours job a day and think over next day's job for the rest of the day. They must be paid a good salary than a software engineer. In view of the wage board recommendations, Eenaadu seems to be taking preemptory steps. Newspaper organizations will be compelled to pay many more sops to Journos in the future. Hyderabad journos will get A1 City HRA in next wage board. Therefore, New Year will be happy year for journos.
